Kollografi er en prosess der materialer (bobleplast, netting, tekstiler) og struktur (diverse modelerings pasta) bygges opp på en plate av papp eller silkeboard. Det skjæres ned i platen (med koldnål eller tapetkniv) for å lage spor for trykksverte å ligge i. Det er en fantastisk kombinasjon av høyt og dyptrykk, med mange spennende måte å bygge opp og skjære ned i plate. Vi bruker grafikkpress til å trykke bilder.
Gruppene er små slik at kurset passer både nybegynnere og viderekommende. Det er mulig det høres litt komplisert ut...men ingen forkunnskap er nødvendig, det er en uhøytidelig og gøy kurs.
Ha med: innesko, forkle/arbeidstøy som tåler malingsflekker.
Weekly class where we learn about the printmaking technique, collograph. We start the course with an evening of monoprinting which is a fun an spontaneous print technique. We then learn about different materials, inks and papers for collograph. A collograph is composed of layers of different materials (netting, textile, textured modeling paste etc) that are glued to a plate (card, wood). It can also be carved into with any sharp tool (xacto knife, drypoint needle). Ink is then applied to the plate and it is printed using a printing press. It is a fantastic combination of relief and intaglio techniques, with many exciting ways to 'build' the plate.
It might sound complicated, but this is a relaxed and fun introduction to collograph, and no previous experience is necessary!
Bring along: inside shoes and old clothes or an apron.
